Training complete
The British government said in London that Ukrainian crews, who have been practising using the Challenger 2, are now prepared to be sent to the front lines.
The ministry of defence released a statement stating that "Ukrainian tank operators have finished training on Challenger 2 tanks in the UK and have returned home to continue their struggle against Russia's illegitimate and unjustified invasion."
Shortly after Britain said in January that it would send 14 of the tanks to Ukraine, the training got under way. The crews picked up skills in leadership, driving, and "effectively identifying and engaging targets," according to the ministry.
