Bangladesh has advanced seven steps in the ranking of the happiest countries in the world. This year, Bangladesh is ranked 94th out of 146 countries in the UN World Happiness Report. In last year's report, Bangladesh was ranked 101 out of 149 countries in the world. Neighboring India ranks 137th and Pakistan 121st on the list.
For the fifth time Finland has been voted the happiest country in the world. On the other hand, Afghanistan is considered as the least happiest country in the world. The United States ranks 17th. And the position of the United Kingdom is 15. France's position is 20. The UN's 2022 World Happiness Report was released on Friday.
The top 10 happiest countries on the list are Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Sweden, Norway, Israel and New Zealand. Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania have made the most progress in physical fitness. The biggest declines were in Lebanon and Venezuela.
Faced with the economic downturn, Lebanon is in second place with the least happiness. The humanitarian crisis has deepened in war-torn Afghanistan since the Taliban regained power last August.
The listing of happy countries is based on one's own assessment of human happiness, as well as economic and social conditions. In addition, the personal well-being of the people of each country, personal freedom, GDP and the level of corruption are taken into consideration.
