He said that friction between two objects creates an electrical creation that attracts another object. Gilbert first used the word electricus to express it. A few years later Power Thomas Bruni, first used the term electricity to investigate based on Gilbert's work. It was not until the early 1800's and early 1800's that autophones, Robert Boley, and Stephen Gray, as well as a few other unnamed scientists, began to conduct electrical research. In 1820, Hans Cristiano explained the existence of electricity and electromagnetism, and in 1831, Michael Faraday discovered the electronic dynamo by publishing the law of amperes. Which solved the ongoing power generation system and then Thomas Edison and Joseph Swan invented the electric bulb (189). In the beginning, generators at power plants were likely to generate electricity only outside the DC system. Among some of the world's first commercial power plants, Edison built DC power plants in New York City to supply customers with DC power. However, there were some problems such as not being able to supply electricity in this way for long distances. Later, with the contribution of Nikola Tesla, an unimaginable change took place in the power transmission system. He designed a new AC motor to supply power to Edison's company in New York. And even though Edison was told about it, Edison didn't implement it. He spoke of inventing more advanced AC motors, rewarding the country with লাগে 50,000. বিদ্যুৎ এর উপর বিস্তারিত গবেষণা চালিয়ে যান। তারা ধারণা বিদ্যুতে নেগেটিভ ও পজিটিভ দুটি দিক রয়েছে। এবং এই উপাদানগুলো মাধ্যমে বিদ্যুৎ প্রবাহিত হয়। তিনি বিশ্বাস করতেন বজ্রপাত হলো প্রবাহিত বিদ্যুতের একটি রূপ। এবং তা প্রমাণ করতে ১৭৫২ সালের জুন মাসে বজ্রপাতের সময় তিনি একটি ঘুড়ি উড়িয়ে তা পরীক্ষা করেন এবং ঘড়ির সাথে একটি ধাতব চাবি দিয়ে দেন যাতে বজ্রপাত এটিকে আকর্ষণ করে। বজ্রপাতের একটি হালকা স্পর্শ তিনি মাটিতে পড়ে গেলেও তিনি তেমন বিশেষ আঘাতপ্রাপ্ত হন নি। কিন্তু তার ধারণা বজ্রপাত এবং এবং ইলেকট্রিক স্পাত একই জিনিস এটা প্রমাণিত হয়। ফ্র্যাংকলিনের এই ধারণা থেকে অনুপ্রাণিত হয়ে বিজ্ঞানীরা আরো নতুন নতুন ধারণা পেতে শুরু করে। তাদের ১৭৯১ সালে জীববিজ্ঞানী লুইজি গ্যালভানি তার ভাই ও ইলেকট্রনিক্স ম্যাগনেটের আবিষ্কার করেন যা প্রমাণ করে জীবদেহের ও বিদ্যুতের অস্তিত্ব রয়েছে। এবং ১৮০০ সালে ইতালি ও রসায়নবিদ অ্যলেনসান্ড্রো ভোল্টা সালফিউরিক অ্যাসিডের দ্রবণে তামা ও দস্তার পর্যায়ক্রমে প্রথমে বৈদ্যুতিক ব্যাটারি উদ্ভাবন করেন। ১৮২০ সালে হ্যান্স ক্রিস্টিয়ানো বিদ্যুৎ ও তড়িৎ চুম্বকত্বের বিদ্যমান সম্পর্কে ব্যাখ্যা এবং অ্যাম্পিয়ারের সূত্র প্রকাশের ফলে ১৮৩১ সালে মাইকেল ফ্যারাডে ইলেকট্রনিক ডায়নামো আবিষ্কার করেন। যা চলমান বিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদন ব্যবস্থায় সমাধান করেছিল এবং এরপর টমাস এডিসন এবং জোসেফ সোয়ান বৈদ্যুতিক বাল্ব (১৭৮৯) আবিষ্কার করেন। শুরুর দিকে বিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদন কেন্দ্র গুলোতে জেনারেটরের সাহায্যে শুধুমাত্র ডিসি বাইরে পদ্ধতিতে বিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদন সম্ভবত হতো। বিশ্বের প্রথম বিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদন বাণিজ্যিক কিছু কেন্দ্রের মধ্যে এডিসন নিউইয়র্ক সিটিতে বিদ্যুৎ উৎপাদন কেন্দ্র নির্মাণ করে গ্রাহকদের ডি সি পদ্ধতিতে বিদ্যুৎ সরবরাহ করতেন। তবে এতে বেশ কিছু সমস্যা ছিল যেমন বেশি দূর পর্যন্ত এভাবে বিদ্যুৎ সরবরাহ করা যেত না। পরবর্তীকালে নিকোলা টেসলার অবদানে বিদ্যুৎ পরিবহন ব্যবস্থার এক অভাবনীয় পরিবর্তন ঘটে। তিনি নিউ ইয়র্কে এডিসনের কোম্পানিতে বিদ্যুৎ সরবরাহের জন্য নতুন এসি মোটরের নকশা করেন। এবং এডিসনকে সে সম্বন্ধে জানালেও এডিশন সেটা বাস্তবায়ন করেন নি। তিনি দেশ লাগে ৫০ হাজার ডলার পুরস্কৃত করে আরো উন্নত এসি মোটরের আবিষ্কারের কথা বলেছিলেন। তেসলা করে দেখালেও এডিশন তার কথা রাখলো না। সামান্য কিছু বেতন বাড়িয়ে ছিলেন। সেটা প্রত্যাখ্যান করে এডিসনের কোম্পানি ছেড়ে দেন। পরবর্তীকালে ১৮৮৭ সালে তেসলা নতুন এসি মোটর আবিষ্কার করে বিদ্যুৎ সরবরাহ করতে সক্ষম হন। এবং এখনও পর্যন্ত সেই পদ্ধতিতে সারাবিশ্বে বিদ্যুৎ সরবরাহ হচ্ছে।

 

আমরা প্রতিনিয়ত বিদ্যুতের ব্যবহার এর সাথে ওতপ্রোতভাবে জড়িত। বিদ্যুৎ ছাড়া আমরা একটা মুহূর্ত কল্পনাও করতে পারি না। কিন্তু এই বিদ্যুৎ কআমরা অপ্রয়োজনে ও ব্যবহার করি এটা অপচয়। আমাদের উচিত বিদ্যুৎ তৈরির ইতিহাস জানা। কারণ এই বিদ্যুৎ তৈরির পেছনে রয়েছে অক্লান্ত শ্রম এবং দীর্ঘ সময়ের পরিশ্রম।
