Eat more of certain foods to protect against dengue. Know then-

1. Foods rich in vitamin D: People who are low in vitamin D are at risk for all diseases. Since sunlight is the main source of vitamin D, spend some time in the sun during the day. Apply sun to as much of the body as possible. Apart from this, fatty fish, fortified dairy foods and egg yolks can be included in the daily diet to fulfill the vitamin D requirements of the body.

2. Foods Rich in Vitamin C: Vitamin C works wonders in boosting immunity. A variety of sour fruits are rich in vitamin C. Oranges, lemons, bitter lemons, strawberries, amla, amlaki are excellent sources of vitamin C. Moreover, seasonal fruits should be eaten more. As children at home are more at risk, children should be fed more fruits.

3. Foods rich in antioxidants: Foods rich in antioxidants should be eaten regularly. Grapes, spinach, broccoli are rich in antioxidants. Antioxidant-rich foods protect cells from oxidative stress, boosting the body's immune system. In addition, antioxidants help fight mosquito-borne infections.

4. Foods Rich in Omega Three Fatty Acids: Including omega three in your daily diet also strengthens the immune system. Fatty fish like salmon, mackerel, sardines are excellent sources of omega three. In addition, flaxseeds and walnuts are also rich in omega three fatty acids. These fatty acids have anti-inflammatory properties.
 
5. Zinc Rich Foods: Zinc is very important for boosting immunity. Foods like lean meats, poultry, nuts and seeds are rich in zinc. This mineral helps in the production of immune cells and antibodies. Which gives our body the ability to resist mosquito borne pathogens.

6. Water: Drink plenty of water. There is no substitute for drinking water for good health. Staying hydrated is essential to boost immunity. But not only drinking water, but also eating bananas, fruits, cans, fruit juice and yogurt.
