Normally I do not "go off", I can leave that for others but that is about to change. But this has left me broken and so angry. How dare employers be so two faced, saying on one hand all of the expectations (and they will be checked up on) from management (after many discussions) that are required to be done. For this week it is PD on line, inquiry work, ongoing PD, learning stories,storypark, communicating with whanau and then on the other hand, tell staff to enjoy their time with whanau, oh and by the way, we don't know if we can pay you. I have seen the amount of work required and we are in lockdown level 4 for goodness sake. How about managers saying these things practice Te Whariki and show even a tiny bit of empathy. We are all feeling anxious, and as for the teacher stuck in aussie, trapped and trying hard to get back, I would flip the bird at the request to give a time when you can get back into NZ. This is an unknown and I would take them to employment court for requesting a time or you would lose your job. To those people using threats, being very unrealistic, being hideously mean and unsympathetic and just plain awful human beings, get over yourselves, I dealt with teachers from these centres last year, new teachers this time but same story. I am ready to name and shame. What gets me, is that these people have the future of our children in their hands, if they are dealing with their teachers like this, what hope is there for the children.
