Every Monday I buy daily necessities from the market at Balugram Mor

Most of our places in Bangladesh are villages and each village has a market on a fixed day of the week. The people of the village buy their daily necessities from that market. Some areas have haat three days a week, some areas have haat two days a week and some areas have haat one day a week. The place where a market is held on a fixed day every week has a name, and the people around that place wait for that market.

For example, today is Monday, Balugram is a historical area of Chapainawabganj, every week there is a haat at this Balugram intersection, every week that haat is held on today and Monday. People around Balugram look forward to Monday every week and buy daily necessities from this market on this day.

Since I cook myself now, I also go to the market every Monday and buy my daily necessities from this market. On Mondays of every week, we buy the things we need to eat for a week. We buy daily essentials including potatoes, brinjal, chilli, onion, garlic, ginger from this market.

Now the price of all things in Bangladesh market is high, like today I bought potato for 80 taka kg, eggplant for 70 taka kg, pepper for 200 taka kg, the price of all such things is high, because of the high price of all things, it is very difficult for poor people to run their families. I saw a lot of people doing less shopping, not buying more of anything despite their desire. A person says that it is very difficult to buy things at such a high price.

A lot of things are available in this market at Balugram intersection, I shared a post about this market with you a few days ago. One thing I like very much about this market is that there are several sweet shops in this market. I sometimes buy sweets from this shop. I like jelly very much in sweets.

Every Monday I go to this market at Balugram Mor, many times just to eat sweets from sweet shops and to buy sweets. On Monday I buy more sweets and eat them for a week. The sweets of this market are very delicious.

হ্যালো বন্ধুগন আপনারা সবাই কেমন আছেন? আশা করি আপনারা সবাই অনেক ভাল আছেন এবং সুস্থ আছেন, আমিও আপনাদের দোয়া এবং সৃষ্টিকর্তার রহমতে অনেক ভাল আছি।

আমাদের বাংলাদেশের অধিকাংশ জায়গা গ্রাম আর প্রত্যেক গ্রামে সপ্তাহের নির��ধারিত দিনে হাটে বসে। গ্রামের মানুষেরা সেই হাট থেকে নিজের নিত্য প্রয়োজনীয় জিনিস কিনে থাকে। কোন কোন এলাকায় সপ্তাহে তিনদিন হাট লাগে, কোন কোন এলাকায় সপ্তাহে দুইদিন হাট লাগে আবার কোন কোন এলাকায় সপ্তাহে একদিন হাট লাগে। যে জায়গায় প্রতি সপ্তাহে নির্ধারিত দিনে হাট লাগে ঐ জায়গার একটা নাম থাকে, এবং ঐ জায়গার আশেপাশের মানুষজন ঐ হাটের অপেক্ষায় থাকে।

যেমন আজকে সোমবার, চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জ এর একটা ঐতিহাসিক এলাকা হচ্ছে বালুগ্রাম, প্রতি সপ্তাহের একদিন এই বালুগ্রাম মোড়ে হাট লাগে, প্রতি সপ্তাহের সেই হাট আজকের দিন তথা সোমবারে লাগে। বালুগ্রামের আশেপাশের মানুষজন প্রতি সপ্তাহের সোমবারের অপেক্ষায় থাকে এবং এই দিন এই হাট থেকে নিত্য প্রয়োজনীয় জিনিস ক্রয় করে।

আমি এখন যেহেতু নিজে রান্না করে খাই সেহেতু আমিও প্রতি সপ্তাহের সোমবারে হাটে যাই এবং আমার নিত্য প্রয়োজনীয় জিনিস এই হাট থেকে ক্রয় করি। প্রতি সপ্তাহের সোমবারে এক সপ্তাহ খাওয়ার জন্য প্রয়োজনীয় জিনিস কিনে নিয়ে আসি। এই হাট থেকে আলু, বেগুন, মরিচ, পেঁয়াজ, রসুন, আদা সহ আরও নিত্য প্রয়োজনীয় জিনিস ক্রয় করি।

এখন বাংলাদেশের বাজারে সব জিনিসের দাম বেশি, যেমন আজকে আলু কিনলাম আশি টাকা কেজি, বেগুন কিনলাম সত্তর টাকা কেজি, মরিচ কিনলাম দুইশ টাকা কেজি, এই রকম সব জিনিসের দাম বেশি, সব জিনিসের দাম বেশি হওয়ার কারণে গরীব মানুষদের সংসার চালাতে অনেক কষ্ট হয়ে যাচ্ছে। অনেক মানুষ দেখলাম কম করে বাজার করছে, ইচ্ছা থাকা সত্ত্বেও কোন জিনিস বেশি কিনছে না। এক ব্যক্তির বলছে যে, এত বেশি দাম দিয়ে জিনিস ক্রয় করা অনেক কষ্টকর।

বালুগ্রাম মোড়ের এই হাটে অনেক কিছুই পাওয়া যায়, কিছুদিন আগে এই হাট নিয়ে আপনাদের সাথে একটা পোস্ট শেয়ার করেছিলাম। এই হাটে আমার কাছে একটা জিনিস খুব ভাল লাগে, সেটা হচ্ছে এই হাটে কয়েকটা মিষ্টির দোকান রয়েছে। অমি মাঝে মাঝে এই দোকান থেকে মিষ্টি কিনে খাই। মিষ্টির মধ্যে জেলাপি আমার কাছে খুব ভাল লাগে।

প্রতি সোমবারে আমি বালুগ্রাম মোড়ের এই হাটে যাই,।অনেক সময় শুধু মিষ্টির দোকান থেকে মিষ্টি খাওয়ার জন্য এবং মিষ্টি কিনে নিয়ে আসার জন্য হাটে যাই। সোমবারে বেশি করে মিষ্টি কিনে নিয়ে আসি, আর এক সপ্তাহ পর্যন্ত সেই মিষ্টি খাই। এই হাটের মিষ্টি খুব সুস্বাদু।
