বিসমিল্লাহির রহমানির রহিম
গতকাল দিনটা ছিল একটা স্বপ্নের মত। খুব সকালে ঘুম থেকে উঠে ফজরের নামাজ আদায় করে নরসিংদী যাওয়ার জন্য বাসা থেকে বের হই । নরসিংদী যাওয়ার আগে গোডাঊনে যাওয়া জরুরী ছিল । তাই গোডাঊনে যাওয়ার জন্য পলাশবাড়ী বাসস্ট্যান্ড থেকে বাসে উঠে জিরানী বাজার গিয়ে নামি । এরপর জিরানী বাজার থেকে অটোরিক্সাতে করে আমাদের কোম্পানির গোডাঊনে যাই ।
গোডাঊনে পৌছার কিছুক্ষণ পর আমার বড় ভাই শফিকুল ইসলাম তালুকদার আমার কাছে কল করে এবং বলে তোমার বড় খালু মারা গেছে । তুমি আসো এবং তোমার যাদের জানানো প্রয়োজন তাদেরকে জানিয়ে দেও।
আমাদের ড্রাইভারকে নরসিংদী যাওয়ার সব কিছু বুঝিয়ে দিয়ে আমি বাসায় ফিরে আসি । বাসা থেকে রেডি হয়ে বাড়ি যাওয়ার জন্য বের হই । পলাশবাড়ি বাসস্ট্যান্ডে এসে বাসের জন্য কিছুক্ষণ অপেক্ষা করি । কোন বাস আসছিল না । কিছুক্ষণ পর বগুড়ার একটা বাস আসে, আমি ঐ বাসে উঠে যাই । ২০০ টাকা ভাড়া দিয়ে আমাদের সিরাজগঞ্জের কড্ডার মোড় এসে নামি ।
কড্ডার মোড় থেকে একটা সিএনজি করে সিরাজগঞ্জ শহরে আসি । সিরাজগঞ্জ শহর থেকে অন্য একটা সিএনজি করে সীমান্ত বাজার এসে নামি । গতকাল ছিল বুধবার আমাদের এখানে বড় হাটের দিন । হাটে গিয়ে বাড়ির জন্য বাজার করি । বাজার নিয়ে বাড়ি আসি, ততক্ষণে তিনটা বেজে গেছে ।
আসর নামাজের পর বড় খালুর জানাজা হবে । আমার খালার বাড়ি আর আমাদের বাড়ি পাশাপাশি । তাই আসরের আগেই খালুকে দেখতে যাই । খালুকে দেখার পরপরই আসরের আযান হয় । আসরের নামাজ আদায় করে জানাজা শুরু হয় ।
জানাজা শেষ করে একটা ট্রাকে লাশ উঠানো হয় । সিরাজগঞ্জ রহমতগঞ্জ কবরস্থানে লাশ নিয়ে গিয়ে দাফন করা হয় । আমার বড় খালা কিছুদিন আগে মারা গেছেন, উনাকেও এই রহমতগঞ্জ কবরস্থানে দাফন করা হয় । ওনার এক ছেলেকেও এইখানেই দাফন করা হয় । এই তিনজনের কবর এখন পাশাপাশি ।
আমার খালু অনেক ধরে খুব অসুস্থ ছিল । একেবারে বিছানা থেকে উঠতেই পারতো না । সে খুব ভাল একজন মানুষ ছিলেন । হজ্জ করেছেন, তাবলীগে এক বছর সময় লাগিয়েছেন। আমাদের পূর্ব খুকশিয়া উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষক ছিলেন । আমাদের এলাকার একজন মাদবর ছিলেন । সবাই তার কথা শুনতো।
আমাদের এলাকায় কয়েকদিন পর ইউনিয়ন পরিষদ নির্বাচন। নির্বাচনের সময় বাড়ি আসতে চাইছিলাম । এখন এসে পড়েছি নির্বাচনের আগে আর ঢাকা যাব না । নির্বাচনের পরে ঢাকা যাব ইনশাআল্লাহ।

Yesterday was like a dream. I woke up very early in the morning and left home to go to Narsingdi after performing Fajr prayers. It was necessary to go to Godain before going to Narsingdi. So to get to Godown, I got on the bus from Palashbari bus stand and got off at Jirani Bazaar. Then I took an autorickshaw from Jirani Bazaar to our company's godown.
Shortly after reaching Godain, my elder brother Shafiqul Islam Talukder called me and said that your elder brother Khalu had died. Come on in, take a look and enjoy yourself!
After explaining everything to our driver about going to Narsingdi, I came back home. I get ready to go home. I came to Palashbari bus stand and waited for the bus for a while. No bus was coming. After a while a bus from Bogra came, I got on that bus. With a rent of 200 rupees, we came to Kaddar turn of Sirajganj and got off.
I came to Sirajganj town by a CNG from Kaddar turn. Another CNG came from Sirajganj city to the border market. Yesterday was Wednesday, the day of our big market here. I go to the market and shop for a house. Come home with the market, it's three o'clock.
After the Asr prayers, there will be Janaza of Bara Khalu. My aunt's house and our house as well. So I went to see Khalu before the meeting. Asan was called after seeing Khalu. Janaza begins with Asr prayers.
After the janaza, the body was lifted in a truck. The body was taken to Sirajganj Rahmatganj cemetery and buried. My great aunt died a few days ago, she too was buried in this Rahmatganj cemetery. One of her sons is also buried here. The graves of these three are now side by side.
My Khalu was very ill for a long time. Absolutely could not get out of bed. He was a very good man. He performed Hajj and spent one year in preaching. Our former Khuksia was a high school teacher. There was a madbar in our area. Everyone listened to him.
Union council elections in our area a few days later. I wanted to come home during the election. Now I have come, I will not go to Dhaka before the election. I will go to Dhaka after the election InshaAllah.
