For the first time in world history, 464 model mosques and Islamic cultural centers are being built in Bangladesh. The current government of Bangladesh is building a total of 564 model mosques, one in each district level and one in each upazila. Under a project, the current Bangladesh government is building a model mosque and Islamic cultural center.
All the works of this project are being implemented under Islamic Foundation. All the cost of Bangladesh Model Mosque and Islamic Cultural Center was supposed to come from other countries, that is, another country agreed to bear all the cost of building these model mosques in Bangladesh, but later that country did not bear the cost, then the Hon'ble Prime Minister of the Government of Bangladesh self-financed. Undertake the project.
The government of Bangladesh has allocated Tk 9,435 crore for the project of building 564 mosques and Islamic cultural centers all over Bangladesh. Out of this money, 15 crore 61 lakh 81 thousand taka has been allocated for the district town and city corporation area, and 13 crore 41 lakh 80 thousand taka has been allocated for the upazila and 13 crore 60 lakh 82 thousand taka has been allocated for the coastal area.
Model mosques and Islamic cultural centers to be constructed in district towns and city corporation areas will be four-storied buildings and three-storied buildings for upazilas and coastal areas. The mentioned model mosque and Islamic cultural center will have various facilities besides offering prayers to the worshippers.

Each model mosque and Islamic cultural center will have seminar rooms for holding Islamic cultural programs and various gatherings, separate prayer areas for women, separate facilities for conducting various social activities, car parking facilities, digital services, Hajj training facilities for Haji Sahibs, general public. There will be various other facilities including various training facilities for employment in the said places.
The mosques under construction under the Islamic Foundation are being implemented through the Bangladesh Public Works Department. 1200 people can pray together in district town and city corporation area and 900 people in upazila and coastal area can pray together.
Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has already inaugurated 200 mosques four times under the said project, today she inaugurated another 50 mosques. Out of 564 mosques, a total of 250 have been inaugurated so far, while another 314 mosques are under construction, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered to complete their work at the earliest.

Aesthetically beautiful mosques have already won people's hearts, the said model mosques and Islamic cultural centers have become places of interest for the people of Bangladesh, the inside and outside views of the said mosque are very beautiful, the outside of the mosque has beautiful minarets.
Today Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated these 50 model mosques and Islamic cultural centers online from Ganabhaban, she delivered important speeches before the inauguration of the mosques and after the inauguration spoke to common people from different places of Bangladesh.
Among these 50 model mosques, Chapainawabganj district model mosque and Islamic cultural center were inaugurated today. বিশ্ব ইতিহাসে প্রথমবারের মত বাংলাদেশে এক সাথে ৪৬৪ টি মডেল মসজিদ এবং ইসলামিক সংস্কৃতিক কেন্দ্র তৈরী হচ্ছে। বাংলাদেশের প্রত্যেক জেলা পর্যায়ে একটা এবং প্রত্যেক উপজেলায় একটা করে মোট ৫৬৪ টি মডেল মসজিদ তরী করছে বর্তমান বাংলাদেশ সরকার। একটা প্রকল্পের অধীনে বর্তমান বাংলাদেশ সরকার উক্ত মডেল মসজিদ এবং ইসলামিক সাংস্কৃতিক কেন্দ্র তৈরী করছে।
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনের অধীনে এই প্রকল্পের সকল কাজ বাস্তবায়ন হচ্ছে। বাংলাদেশের মডেল মসজিদ এবং ইসলামিক সাংস্কৃতিক কেন্দ্রের সমস্ত ব্যয় অন্য দেশ থেকে আসার কথা ছিল, অর্থাত অন্য একটা দেশ বাংলাদেশের এই মডেল মসজিদগুলো তৈরী করার যাবতীয় খরচ বহন করার জন্য রাজি ছিল কিন্তু পরবর্তিতে সেই দেশ আর খরচ বহন করে নাই, পরবর্তিতে বাংলাদেশ সরকারের মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী নিজস্ব অর্থায়নে উক্ত প্রকল্প হাতে নেয়।
সমস্ত বাংলাদেশের ৫৬৪ টি মসজিদ এবং ইসলামিক সাংস্কৃতিক কেন্দ্র তৈরীর প্রকল্পের জন্য বাংলাদেশ সরকার ৯ হাজার ৪৩৫ কোটি টাকা অর্থ বরাদ্দ করেছে। এই অর্থের মধ্যে জেলা শহর এবং সিটি কর্পোরেশন এলাকার জন্য বরাদ্দ করা হয়েছে ১৫ কোটি ৬১ লাখ ৮১ হাজার টাকা, এবং উপজেলার জন্য বরাদ্দ করা হয়েছে ১৩ কোটি ৪১ লাখ ৮০ হাজার টাকা এবং উপকূলীয় এলাকার জন্য বরাদ্দ করা হয়েছে ১৩ কোটি ৬০ লাখ ৮২ হাজার টাকা।
জেলা শহর এবং সিটি কর্পোরেশন এলাকায় যে মডেল মসজিদ এবং ইসলামিক সংস্কৃতিক কেন্দ্র তৈরী হবে সেটা হবে চার তলা বিশিষ্ট এবং উপজেলা এবং উপকূলীয় এলাকার জন্য তিন তলা বিশিষ্ট বিল্ডিং তৈরী করা হবে। উল্লেখ্যিত মডেল মসজিদ এবং ইসলামিক সাংস্কৃতিক কেন্দ্রে মুসল্লিদের নামাজ আদায়ের পাশাপাশি বিভিন্ন সুযোগ সুবিধা থাকবে।
প্রত্যেকটা মডেল মসজিদ এবং ইসলামিক সাংস্কৃতিক কেন্দ্রে ইসলামিক সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান এবং বিভিন্ন সমাবেশ করা জন্য সেমিনার কক্ষ থাকবে, মহিলাদের আলাদা নামাজের জায়গা, বিভিন্ন সামাজিক কার্যক্রম পরিচালনা করার জন্য আলাদা ব্যবস্থা, গাড়ি পার্কিং এর ব্যবস্থা, ডিজিটাল সেবা, হাজী সাহেবদের জন্য হজ্জ প্রশিক্ষণের ব্যবস্থা, সাধারণ মানুষের কর্মসংস্থানের জন্য বিভিন্ন প্রশিক্ষণের ব্যবস্থা সহ আরও বিভিন্ন সুযোগ সুবিধা থাকবে উক্ত স্থান গুলোতে।
ইসলামিক ফাউন্ডেশনের অধীনে নির্মাণাধীন উক্ত মসজিদগুলো বাংলাদেশ গনপূর্ত অধিদপ্তরের মাধ্যমে বাস্তবায়িত হচ্ছে। জেলা শহর এবং সিটি কর্পোরেশন এলাকায় এক সাথে ১২শ মানুষ এবং উপজেলা এবং উপকূলীয় এলাকায় ৯শ মানুষ এক সাথে নামাজ আদায় করতে পারবে।
উক্ত প্রকল্পের অধীনে ইতিমধ্যেই চার বারে ২০০টি মসজিদ উদ্বোধন করেছেন বাংলাদেশ সরকারের মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা, তিনি আজকে আরও ৫০টি মসজিদ উদ্বোধন করলেন। ৫৬৪টি মসজিদের মধ্যে এখন পর্যন্ত মোট ২৫০টি উদ্বোধন হল, আরও ৩১৪টি মসজিদ নির্মাণাধীন রয়েছে, সেগুলোর কাজ অতি দ্রুত সময়ের মধ্যে শেষ করার জন্য প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা নির্দেশ দিয়েছেন।
নান্দনিক সুন্দর মসজিদগুলো ইতিমধ্যেই মানুষের মন জয় করে নিয়েছে, উক্ত মডেল মসজিদ এবং ইসলামিক সাংস্কৃতিক কেন্দ্রগুলো বাংলাদেশের মানুষের কাছে দর্শনীয় স্থানে পরিণত হয়েছে, উক্ত মসজিদের ভিতর এবং বাহিরের দৃশ্যগুলো অনেক সুন্দর, মসজিদের বাহির সুন্দর মিনার রয়েছে।
আজকে বাংলাদেশের প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা গনভবন থেকে অনলাইনের মাধ্যমে এই ৫০টি মডেল মসজিদ এবং ইসলামিক সাংস্কৃতিক কেন্দ্র উদ্বোধন করেন, তিনি মসজিদগুলো উদ্বোধনের আগে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বক্তব্য পেশ করেন এবং উদ্বোধনের পরে বাংলাদেশের বিভিন্ন স্থানের সাধারণ মানুষের সাথে কথা বলেন।
আজকে এই ৫০টি মডেল মসজিদের মধ্যে চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জ জেলার মডেল মসজিদ এবং ইসলামিক সাংস্কৃতিক কেন্দ্র উদ্বোধন করা হয়। আজকে আমি সেখানে উপস্থিত ছিলাম, আজকে চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জ জেলার মডেল মসজিদ এবং ইসলামিক সাংস্কৃতিক কেন্দ্র উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানে চাঁপাইনবাবগঞ্জ জেলার বিভিন্ন সরকারী কর্মকর্তাগন উপস্থিত ছিলেন।
