East Khukshia High School Flood Shelter is being constructed

Our village is very beautiful, there is a beautiful mosque in our village, next to the mosque there is an Eidgah ground, behind the mosque there is a government primary school and next to it there is a high school. The people of our village are very simple, our village name is Purba Khukshia, there is a market in our village in the morning and in the afternoon, most of the people of our village live in Dhaka, they are engaged in various professions, most of the people who live in Dhaka work as garment workers.

There is a huge river Yamuna next to our village, the main place of our village is affected by the erosion of river Yamuna, after our village was destroyed by river Yamuna, we all live in a small area, many people have left the village, they are living in some other place or some other village. , we village people live together. All the people in the village are very sincere to each other.

As our village is near the river Yamuna, every year during the monsoon, the roads of the village are filled with water, the water rises in many people's houses, many people take shelter outside the protection of the river, during the monsoon, many people take shelter in their houses. Most of the people in our village keep cows and goats, it is very difficult to keep these cows and goats during monsoon. People of our village suffer a lot during monsoon. Many have built their houses on higher ground on both sides of the river bank to escape from the monsoon water.

A nice step has been taken by Bangladesh government to alleviate the suffering of our village people during monsoon. A shelter center is being built by Bangladesh Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief. This building is being constructed in the high school of our village, the people of the village will take shelter in this building during the monsoons, and it will be used for school work during the monsoons.

This year the construction of the building started on the eighth of March, the foundation stone for the construction of the building was laid by our Kazipur Police Station MP Mr. Engineer Tanvir Shakeel Joy, the building was named, East Khukshia High School Flood Shelter. This building with four floors will be completed in the first phase. Most of the work on this building has already been completed. Due to the construction of this building, the people of our village and a few other nearby villages will benefit a lot, especially during the monsoon season.
