There are many people in the world who seek self-interest in everything. They do nothing but self-interest, and seek to extract their own gain from all things. If someone gives something to them, they keep it first for themselves and then do the rest.

I will share a small incident with you, if you read the incident you will understand the matter better. It is much easier to understand a subject if there is an event for example. For this, share the incident.

There was a king in a country, in the court of that king there was a minister who sought his own gain from everything. If the king allows him to buy anything, he saves some of it and keeps it for himself. The king understood this, and he decided in his heart that this minister should be taught.

The king came up with a very good idea to teach the minister, one day the king gave four rupees to his minister and said to buy four chocolates with these four rupees. The minister bought four chocolates for four rupees and gave them to the king. Raja took four chocolates and started laughing. Then the minister asked the king, why are you laughing? The king said, nothing! The minister said, tell me why you smiled.

Then the king said, I have heard that you keep something for yourself out of everything, and seek your own gain in everything, today I have made you a fool. Today you brought me four chocolates for four rupees, but you couldn't keep anything for yourself.

Then the minister started laughing, the king asked, why are you laughing? The minister said, I brought four chocolates with your four rupees, and I did not get any benefit from bringing these four chocolates, but I squeezed four chocolates. The king was surprised to hear the minister, and said that indeed you are a strange man, seeking your own gain in everything. Do not leave even four chocolates.

There are many such people in our society too, who seek and find their own gain in everything. People of this nature cannot be fixed unless they take other things. They are happy with other people's things, and always cheat other people. We have to survive from these people.

পৃথিবীতে এমন অনেক মানুষ আছে যারা সব কিছুর মধ্যে নিজের স্বার্থ খুঁজে। তারা নিজের স্বার্থ ব্যতীত কিছুই করে না, এবং সব জিনিসের মধ্যে থেকে নিজের লাভ বাহির করার চেষ্টা করে। তাদের কাছে যদি কেউ কিছু দেয় সেখান থেকে নিজের জন্য আগে রেখে দেয় তারপর অবশিষ্ট জিনিস অবশিষ্ট কাজ করে।

এই বিষয়ে ছোট একটা ঘটনা আপনাদের সাথে শেয়ার করব, ঘটনাটা পড়লে বিষয়টা আরও ভাল ভাবে বুঝে আসবে। কোন বিষয়ের সাথে যদি উদাহরণ স্বরূপ কোন ঘটনা থাকে তাহলে সেই বিষয়টা বুঝতে অনেক সহজ হয়। এই জন্য ঘটনা শেয়ার করা।

এক দেশের এক রাজা ছিল, সেই রাজার দরবারে একজন মন্ত্রী ছিল যে সব কিছু থেকে নিজের লাভ খুঁজে নিত। রাজা যদি তার কাছে কোন কিছু কিনতে দেয় তাহলে সে সেখান থেকে কিছু বাঁচিয়ে নিজের জন্য রেখে দেয়। বিষয়টা রাজা বুঝতে পারল, এবং সে মনে মনে একটা সিদ্ধান্ত নিল যে, এই মন্ত্রীকে উচিত শিক্ষা দিতে হবে।

রাজা মন্ত্রীকে শিক্ষা দেওয়ার জন্য খুব সুন্দর একটা বুদ্ধি বাহির করল, একদিন রাজা তার মন্ত্রীর কাছে চার টাকা দিল এবং বলল এই চার টাকা দিয়ে চারটা চকলেট কিনে নিয়ে আসো। মন্ত্রী চার টাকা দিয়ে চারটা চকলেট কিনে নিয়ে এসে রাজাকে দিল। রাজা চারটা চকলেট হাতে নিয়ে হাসতে লাগল। তখন মন্ত্রী রাজাকে জিজ্ঞেস করল, আপনি হাসছেন কেনো? রাজা বলল, কিছু না! মন্ত্রী বলল, কেনো হাসলেন বলুন।

তখন রাজা বলল, আমি শুনেছি তুমি সব কিছু থেকে নিজের জন্য কিছু রেখে দেও, এবং সব কিছুর মধ্যে নিজের লাভ খুঁজতে থাক, আজকে আমি তোমাকে বোকা বানিয়েছি। আজকে তুমি আমার জন্য চার টাকা দিয়ে চারটা চকলেট এনেছো, এর মধ্যে নিজের জন্য কিছুই রাখতে পারো নাই।

তখন মন্ত্রী হাসতে লাগল, রাজা জিজ্ঞেস করলেন, তুমি হাসছো কেনো? মন্ত্রী বললেন, আপনার চার টাকা দিয়ে চারটা চকলেট এনেছি ঠিকই এবং এই চারটা চকলেট আনার মধ্যে আমার কোন লাভ হয় নাই ঠিকই, কিন্তু আমি চারটা চকলেট চেঁটে দিয়েছি। রাজা মন্ত্রীর কথা শুনে অবাক হয়ে গেল, এবং বলল আসলে তুমি একজন আজব মানুষ, সব কিছুর মধ্যেই নিজের লাভ খুঁজে বের করো। চারটা চকলেটকেও ছাড়ো নাই।

আমাদের সমাজেও এই রকম অনেক মানুষ আছে, যারা সব কিছুর মধ্যে নিজের লাভ খুঁজতে থাকে এবং খুঁজে বের করে। এই প্রকৃতির মানুষ অন্য জিনিস না নেওয়া পর্যন্ত ঠিক থাকতে পারে না। তারা অন্যের জিনিস নিয়ে খুশি হয়, এবং সব সময়ই অন্য মানুষকে ধোঁকা দিয়ে থাকে। এই সকল মানুষ থেকে আমাদের বেঁচে থাকতে হবে।
