The Bangladesh High Commission has provided clothes to the expatriate Bangladeshis lodged in Mafusi Jail in Maldives. On Friday (January 26), the first secretary of the Bangladesh Embassy in the Maldives Correctional Service. Sohail Parvez handed over the clothes. Welfare Assistant and Correctional Service officials of the High Commission were present at the time.
First Secretary of the Embassy Sohail Parvez inquired about the expatriate Bangladeshi prisoners in the Maldives prison and requested the prison authorities to provide necessary medical assistance to the prisoners infected with the corona virus.
Note: Earlier on 18 September, Bangladesh Ambassador to Maldives Rear Admiral Mohammad Nazmul Hasan paid a courtesy call on Maldives Commissioner of Prisons Ahmed Mohammad Fulhur. And on 03 November 2021, the embassy handed over the garments for the Bangladeshi expatriate prisoners to the prison authorities.
