কিন্তু খেলা প্রায় ৭৯ মিনিট চলে গিয়েছে তখন ফ্রান্সের খেলোয়াড় এমএ বাপ্পি উত্তেজিত হয়ে গিয়েছিল এমন অবস্থায় আর্জেন্টিনার প্লেয়ার বক্সের ভিতরে ফাউল করে তখন রেফারি প্লান্টের সিদ্ধান্ত নেয় তখন এমে বাপ্পি পেনাল্টিতে গোল করে তখন আর্জেন্টিনার গোল ২ আর ফ্রান্সের গোল ১ কিন্তু ভাগ্যের কি পরিহাস এমে বাপ্পি ক্ষেপে গিয়ে ৮ ১ মিনিটের মাথায় আরেকটি গোল দেয় তখন আর্জেন্টিনার পয়েন্ট ২ এবং ফ্রান্সের পয়েন্ট ২ তখন বোঝা গেল আর হবেনা এখন এক্সট্রা মিনিট খেলতে হবে ভাগ্যের কি পরিহাস শেষ পর্যন্ত এক্সট্রা টাইম খেলতে হলো এবং শেষ এক্সট্রা টাইমের 15 মিনিট শেষ এবং আরো ১৫ মিনিট বাকি তখন এক্সট্রা টাইমের শেষ পনের মিনিট আর্জেন্টিনা এর মাঝে আর একটা গোল দিয়ে দেয় তখন আর্জেন্টিনার গোল ৩ এবং ফ্রান্সের গোল ২।

কিন্তু খেলা প্রায় ১৫ মিনিট আরও শেষই আর মাত্র ২ মিনিট আছে তাই আর্জেন্টিনা যেতে যাওয়ার সম্ভাবনা ছিল কিন্তু ভাগ্যের কি পরিহাস আর্জেন্টিনার প্লেয়ার আবারো বক্সের ভিতরে ফাউল করে তখন রেফারী পেনাল্টির সিদ্ধান্ত নেয় তখন এমে বাপ্পি টি পেনাল্টি গোল করে তখন গোল হয়ে যায় তখন দেখা গেল আর্জেন্টিনার গোল ৩ এবং ফ্রান্সের গোল ৩ তখন বোঝা গেল খেলা এক্সট্রা মিনিটও শেষ প্রায় তখন বোঝা গেল এবার বুঝি প্লান্টি হবে কিন্তু শেষ পরিনিতি পেনাল্টি হলো । পেনাল্টিতে আর্জেন্টিনার গুলিটা ছিল বাজপাখি সেই বাস বাকিটা দুইটা গোল সেভ করায় আর্জেন্টিনা এগিয়েছিল কিন্তু ফ্রান্সের গুলি একটি গুলো সেভ করতে পারেনি তাই আর্জেন্টিনা পেনাল্টিতে জিতে গেছে। আসলে খেলাটা ছিল খুবই আকর্ষণীয় এবং আশ্চর্যজনক।
