1. Cold drinks cause dehydration

Cold drinks dehydrate the body, causing the blood vessels to constrict and reducing the amount of blood flowing to the skin. As a result of dehydration, the skin becomes dry and flaky. Dehydration causes dizziness, fatigue, headaches, muscle cramps, and even fainting.

 2. Cold drinks cause weight gain

When you drink cold beverages, you lose heat faster than you would if you were drinking hot ones. When you don't have enough calories to replace what you're losing, you'll start storing fat.

 3. Cold drinks make you feel sluggish

Drinking cold beverages causes the brain to slow down its activity. This makes you feel tired and sleepy. If you want to stay awake, try having some warm tea instead.

 4. Cold drinks cause heartburn

The acidity in cold drinks irritates the lining of the stomach, causing heartburn. Heartburn can be caused by eating spicy foods, alcohol, caffeine, smoking cigarettes, or taking certain medications.

 5. Cold drinks cause tooth decay

If you drink soda regularly, you may notice that your teeth become stained and begin to look dull. Sugar in sodas leaches minerals out of your enamel, making them susceptible to cavities.

 6. Cold drinks cause cancer

Soda contains phosphoric acid, which is known to increase the risk of colon cancer. In addition, cola drinks contain high amounts of caffeine, which can stimulate the adrenal glands, leading to increased production of adrenaline. Adrenaline increases the rate at which cells divide, increasing the chances of developing cancer.

 7. Cold drinks cause diabetes

Caffeine stimulates the pancreas to release insulin, which lowers blood sugar levels. However, if you consume sugary drinks frequently, your pancreas will eventually stop producing insulin altogether.
