I am very well and healthy by the grace of Allah. I don't know how you are, but I hope you are very well and healthy by the grace of God. Today I want to discuss something about a heinous sin. This heinous sin is backbiting. Welcome and congratulations to all of you in this post.

Backbiting is a great sin i.e. eating the flesh of a dead brother.

We are social creatures living in our families. We cannot live without family. To live there is definitely a need. Neighbors are also needed. So we live together with neighbors, friends and relatives. No one can ever live alone. He must take shelter in a society and needs a companion.

We have to go to different places to live as a family. You have to meet different types of people. We absolutely need to go to these different places and meet different people. During this meeting, we tell each other about his absence. This is not correct at all. If someone is at fault, it is better to say it upfront. It will be slander if you say it backwards.

It takes three people to gossip. One of them must be absent. Saying something about someone who is absent to someone who is present is backbiting. If he hears the word, it causes pain in his heart, it is backbiting. Backbiting is like eating the flesh of a gentle brother.

It is said by our beloved Prophet Muhammad SAW in his hadith. Here a person will not want to eat the flesh of a dead brother even if he is in extreme danger. It is a terrible sin for his eyes to feel the same. If the person who slandered, does not forgive the one who has been slandered, then Allah Almighty will not judge him.

So let us protect ourselves from backbiting and encourage others not to backbite. May Allah protect us all, Ameen. Allah Hafez is ending here like today.
