Tonight may be Shabae Qadr
Shab Qadr does not mean 27 Ramadan
Today (12 April 2023, Wednesday) is the 20th of Ramadan. 21 Ramadan begins with Iftar. Which is the first odd night in the last decade. According to the narration of Hadith Sharif, the glorious Lailatul Qadr can still happen today. May the worship of Qadr be revealed in the light of the Sunnah and free from innovation. Not only 27 Ramadan is worshiped as Shabbat Qadr, but every night of the last ten days of Ramadan should be devoted to additional prayers, recitation of the Qur'an and worship for Shabbat Qadr.
Narrated Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): She said:
O Messenger of Allah! If I get the Night of Qadr, will I pray?
He (the Prophet [pbuh]) said: You will say,
God bless you
"O Allah! You are Forgiving, You love to forgive. So forgive me" (Sunan Ibn Majah 3850)
From a hadith of Jame at-Tirmidhi, the dua is found with an additional word. Dua is:
God bless you
"O Allah! You are the Most Forgiving, You love to forgive, so forgive me."
(Tirmidhi 3513)
We all know the following hadith about the importance of forgiving sins in Ramadan.
Narrated from Jaber Ibn Abdullah (RA):
The Prophet (PBUH) ascended the pulpit. He climbed the first step and said: Amen. He climbed the second ladder and said: Amen. He climbed the third step and said: Amen. The Companions said, O Messenger of Allah, we heard you say Amin three times.
He said: As soon as I ascended the first staircase, Gabriel (Abu Dawud) came and said, "Woe to that person who has reached the month of Ramadan and even though it has ended, his sins are not forgiven." I said: Amen.
Then on ascending the second step, he said, "Woe to that person who sees both his parents or one of them in old age, but they do not admit him to Paradise." I said: Amen.
Then on the third step, he said, "Woe to the person to whom you are mentioned, but he does not fall in love with you." I said: Amen.
(Adabul Mufrad 648, hadith standard: Sahih)
That is, if we are not able to get forgiveness from Allah even after Ramadan, then the Prophet (PBUH) himself said "Amen" in support of our misfortune. Can we understand its meaning? If an MP of the area or a minister of parliament calls us unlucky or supports our misfortune, how much we will be upset! But here the best man in the world who called the people unfortunate we are not falling into the group? Have we been forgiven of our sins?
20 days of Ramadan have passed. None of us know if we will survive till next Ramadan. Will we be able to forgive our sins in another Ramadan? So think of this Ramadan as the last Ramadan of life. We consider the last 10 days of Ramadan with special importance for the forgiveness of sins. Those who are lazy to read taraweeh prayer in the beginning should read at least this 10 days. These 10 days I read the Quran a little more than before and give charity. Repeatedly read the dua taught by the Messenger of Allah (SAW). I understand the meaning of duar. I pray with understanding from the heart. Inshallah Allah will forgive us!
During these holy times we do not wander unnecessarily on Facebook or YouTube. Facebook-Messenger and YouTube are the biggest mediums of today to destroy our productivity. They are not paired to create destruction at all by losing our focus. On Facebook you might be getting 5% of useful or valuable things for you. The other 95% is nothing but wasted time. Don't make yourself so cheap to hundreds of thousands of friends that anyone can reach me at any time! Just wish I didn't leave my work and go to Facebook-Messenger. It's time to think about how many hours we are spending on Messenger or Facebook every day and how much of it is actually helping us in this worldly or hereafter. We can write down on a piece of paper the daily estimated Facebook usage time. At the end of the week, I can see how many hours I used Facebook, how many hours I read Quran and how many hours I read books to know Islam.
So let us at least limit the use of social media during these last 10 days of Ramadan. Every odd night I read Tahajjud as much as I can for Shaba Qadr, I read Quran, I cry to Allah for forgiveness of my sins. Our target in the last decade is one! Deliver us from all our sins!
